In a busy city like Sihanoukville, sometimes one needs to escape to the farthest little corner they can find. That's what the Secret Garden is, a hidden paradise outside of town that few people outside of those staying in the resort go to. But once you get there you'll be rewarded with an ocean front view and a fantastic menu in what is one of the last remaining great Western restaurants in town.
You will definitely want to begin with their starter menu. From Asian fare like spring rolls to decadent Western bites like the mozzarella sticks, you may leave very little room in your stomach for the main course. Speaking of the mozzarella sticks, the siracha mayonnaise that accompanies it will be the best sauce you ever tasted. They also serve great sandwiches and burgers, their signature one bring filled with cheese in the middle and topped with a luscious tomato chutney on top. They also feature great steaks and a dessert menu that will keep you in your seat for one last course.
The next time you are in Sihanoukville, be sure to tell your driver to take you to the Secret Garden. You can thank me later.
Cambodian Food Scene
Cambodia is surprisingly filled with many great restaurants, from inexpensive to those closer to Western prices. These are just a collection of my favorite places to eat throughout the country.
